Type: "Abbey-Style Ale"
ABV: 7%
Color: Almost Opaque. Deep dark reddish brown with some clarity near the bottom of the glass.
Aroma: Soft and sweet with citrus hints, possibly a touch of honey.
Taste: Velvety bitterness...not too much, not to little. Spice that hangs on, with a rebounding bitterness. Some roastiness of malt that comes out of nowhere. Not much on the sweet that was in the description.
Overall: I was anxious as i poured and waited for th thick antique-white head to chill out. Once i got to it the wait was well worth it. Not to bold, but not a pushover either...Resurrection has found a nice balance between the bitter and mellowness we are all looking for in a brew. Hoppiness that can be appreciated and light malt tha tcan be looked forward to.
Score: 9.2/10
