Oskar Blues Brewery - Dale's Pale Ale Review

Type: Pale Ale

ABV: 6.5%

IBU: 65

Packaging: Can

Color: Dark yellowesque-brown with golden yellow towards the bottom. A small head tops the surface is off-white

Aroma: Sweet and mildly hoppy with a tad bit of spice that tingles the nose.

Taste: Malty backbone with nice hop-popinness which comes through on the back end. The body is light to medium and there is a light aftertaste on the tongue

Overall: Nice balance betweeen the malt and the hop bitterness. Sweetness is dead on and doesn't take away from the hop bitterness that i love. Kudos to Oskar Blues, and congrats for winning Gold for this one at World Beer Championships this year

Score: 8.7/10

  1. I"M GLAD YOU LIKE THIS ONE!

Can you believe that I didn't even try anything from this brewery until a couple of months back? It now stands as one of my favorite craft Pale Ale's.

It's balanced just perfectly I agree, AND have to admit that I love that they went a bit different here and went with cans. Their whole line up is all in cans, and I love that. Not to mention that it completely protects it from the light as opposed to bottles.

    Two questions for ya...

Have you tried their GUBNA which is there double IPA yet?

Do you know what that circle shaded circle on the side of the can next to the recycle sign is for? :)
